Our programme is normally as follows, but we often digress:

Sunday —– Arrival Day ——-Relaxing dinner in the evening.

MONDAY morning – A walk in our woods after breakfast, see what mushrooms or other flora and fauna we can find. A bit of a chat about Normandy Cooking and voila – it is lunchtime.

Now the fun begins -

AFTER LUNCH - I will give you a little demo, then it is hands-on to get our sumptuous dinner ready.  Oh, we forgot to tell you we often ask interesting friends around!!!

TUESDAY morning – A visit to a typical French market, where you will be delegated little tasks.  Some of you will be purchasing obscure ingredients for me to do my ―Ready Steady Cook Show‖ (and I don’t cheat like they do on the telly).

AFTER LUNCH – A short demo,then it’s your turn to cook: Tuesday is when we normally invite the Mayor to grace our table for dinner, but don’t worry too much, he has no taste, he’s 97 years old, so does not eat much, and has ill fitting teeth, so he can’t chew so well!  Oh! To cap it all – he’s blind. OH WHAT A NIGHT!!!

WEDNESDAY morning – After breakfast, it’s a free day.

Ah! ―Escape – Freedom‖ you will be shouting.  It gives you the chance to laze around by the lake, swing from the trees, and do whatever you would like to do to relax.  Or maybe, you may wish to visit the "Mont Saint Michel", "The Bayeux Tapestries" , "The Invasion Beaches", "The American Cemetery" or just sit by the sea.  Whatever your needs, all this is just a short journey away and in the evening,  If you have been good, we will have a nice dinner ready for you.

THURSDAY morning – This is the day when you have to work/holiday ??? – a bit harder.  Again a short demo, then it is your turn to get lunch ready on the table for us.  It might be anything from 1 P.M. to 5 P.M. depending on how hard you work.

Don’t forget, we still have to prepare the "Gala Dinner" together in the afternoon.  It is a great night as long as the indoor fireworks ignite correctly.  Still not to worry, the "Pompiers" are good fun!!!!! and eat a lot.

FRIDAY – After last night, you’ll crawl out of bed, wishing you hadn’t.  With one eye open, looking for breakfast – to find, you will be greeted by Martin, bright eyed, bushy tailed and ready to give you your task for the morning.  The shock will soon wake you up and we’ll see you for your farewell lunch …… and the famous but not least "Prize Giving Ceremony".  The Mayor used to do this, but not any more, thank Goodness.

Sadly, it’s au revoir after lunch, with a sigh of relief ….., but you’ll be back, many have and still keep coming back………………
